An opportunity to improve the way you work can start with something quite specific: information that is difficult to bring together, an activity that needs better support, or an idea for a new service. A custom system can turn that opportunity into something people can use.
We shape systems around what your organisation wants to achieve, the people involved and the way they work. These examples show how supporting an important activity can make a difference to the wider business.
Case Studies
For Honeywell, SalesFunnel brought sales opportunities into a shared system, giving its sales organisation clearer visibility and helping people coordinate their work. For PepsiCo, the Sales Training Tracker brought together information about skills, training and progress, supporting individual development and managers’ coaching.
At NATS, engineers needed a reliable shared record of the wireless equipment used for voice communications between air traffic controllers and the aircraft they controlled. Anatec built a system to handle information that had become too varied and complex for a spreadsheet.
Each system addressed a different need. The common thread was useful information, organised around the work people needed to do. The full stories explain the starting point, Anatec’s contribution and what became possible.
Internal and Experimental Projects
A new idea often raises questions that are best explored with working software. Prototypes make an approach tangible, revealing practical difficulties and helping people decide what to develop further. This can involve our own systems or experimental work for clients.
ShopSee was a social-shopping project from Simple Matters. Anatec developed its prototype analytics back end using Azure and SQL Server, turning mobile activity into structured information for reporting. Events could arrive out of order or with missing information, so making the data useful required careful processing.
Successive prototypes provided a way to investigate these challenges and develop the approach. The story shows the engineering behind an experimental idea and the questions that working software helped address.
